About This App

Skilled Resource Availability is a solution for quick resourcing of short term tasks that have a particular skill needed to perform the work.

This solution is relevant for both:

• Service organization Resource Managers assigning skilled employees, such as service engineers, to near-term assignments
• Marketing team Traffic Managers who need to assign skilled team members to short term jobs

Usage

You may define Skill competency levels (Basic, Intermediate, Expert) for each user. If an optional Skill Level is defined for a Task, the panel will display only users with that level or above.

Simply drag and drop users to a target area on the panel to assign them to the task.

In the Suitable Resource Availability panel, negative values (minus numbers) in the user list mean that the user is already overloaded for the time period.

Overloaded resources are intentionally still displayed giving you the flexbility to decide whether to still assign them and subsequently re-prioritize, push out or re-assign their other work.

The whole work week is shown to provide visibility into whether it may be appropriate to try rescheduling the work.

Visibility Rules

To save superfluous querying of user data the panel only displays when:

• The task is Draft, Active, or On Hold
• The task’s Start Date is today or a future date
