Prevent decomposition (further break down) of tasks that already have time entries, actual effort or %complete reported.
Effort in AdaptiveWork is aggregated, “rolled up”, from the “leaf” tasks, those at the most granular level of detail in the work plan.
When a user adds a new sub task, any previous effort will be ignored and effort is subsequently rolled up from the new sub tasks. However, for strictly budgeted projects or billable work, this causes a governance challenge.
This rule prevents users from decomposing work already in progress and presents them with options for how to add in new work to the plan without overwriting previous effort.
